Mitsubishi Electric has developed the AA190EA01, 19" (48.3cm) TFT-LCD panel, for the digital signage market. Going on sale from October 2011, the Super-XGA colour offering delivers resolutions of 1,280 x 1,024 dots over an electrical interface of LVDS 6/8bit and can operate in temperatures between -20 and +70°C.

The technology manufacturer adds that TFT-LCDs are growing in popularity in the digital signage sector, which it states has raised demand for enhanced durability, heat and cold resistance and brightness capabilities.
Stating that it believes its latest product to be the first Super-XGA TFT-LCD to measure 19" anywhere in the world, Mitsubishi adds that it plans to further develop this line of screens, which currently features displays in 14 different dimensions.

The display features a luminance of 1,500cd/sq m and has viewing angles of -80 to +80° horizontally and vertically. With a contrast ratio of 800:1, the AA190EA01, also has a pixel pitch of 0.294 horizontally and vertically, Mitsubishi concludes.
