Advantech and signagelive team up to present digital signage solution in Taiwan

Digital signage provider signagelive, in collaboration with Advantech, is to present its hardware and software solution to delegates at Advantech's World Partner Conference in Taipei, Taiwan in October.

The ARK-DS220's solution is compliant with Intel's Open Pluggable Specification standard (OPS) and has been designed to allow 'digital signage manufacturers to deploy systems faster, with lower costs for development and implementation', says signagelive.

It is powered by a fanless Intel Atom N455 single-core processor and an Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor, and features an integrated NVIDIA GT218 (ION2) graphic module to deliver full HD playback.

"We have worked closely with Advantech and their product development team over the last three years to create a range of optimised digital signage devices with the ARK-DS220 OPS player being a great example of our collaboration," explains Jason Cremins, chief executive of signagelive.

"Optimising signagelive for use with the ARK-DS220 and in particular the NVIDIA ION2 graphics has produced incredible results. We are capable of running eight HD videos […] concurrently on a single player in both landscape and portrait, which is unthinkable with other digital signage hardware."

The conference will take place from October 27th to 29th.
