Newcastle-based sign and display producer Rapid 9 says its 'bomb-proof' new Mimaki JV33 from local authorised reseller Your Print Specialists (YPS) has helped it decrease production time and improve turnaround following a big contract win. Alongside the company's exisiting JV3, the new machine has allowed Rapid 9 to double its resources by printing jobs simultaneously.

"We thought the JV3 was great but we were blown away by how brilliant the JV33 is; it's been running superbly," says Rapid 9 owner and managing director Oliver Whickham. "We've just picked up a big new contract so the JV33 is running even more work alongside our existing JV3. They're brilliant for what we do and would consider no other machine now."

Rapid 9 chose YPS to supply its new kit because of the support the latter has offered since Whickham started the company in 2011. "Garry helped me with a very technical piece of work using a flat-bed when I was at my previous company, where he was instrumental in helping the company pioneer digital equipment," he explains. "I wouldn't recommend YPS because I want to keep them a secret!"
