Mutoh, Seiko to take pride of place for Colourgen at Sign UK

The Seiko I Infotech Colorpainter will be on show at Sign and Digital for the first time

Colourgen is to split its stand into three at Sign and Digital UK 2014 with dedicated sections for its latest Mutoh and Seiko engines. A live production area for dye-sublimation printing will also be included, with three Mutoh printers and a Kala DS67 laminator being demonstrated to visitors.

The Mutoh ValueJet 1638X, which will be shown for the first time in the UK, features easier installation, setup and calibration than previous models. The printer can output at 360 x 360 or 360 x 720 dpi and is available with as part of Mutoh's bulk ink system with UMS inks.

Seiko I Infotech's ColorPainter M-Series will also début at the show. Using the manufacturer's low-odour, eco-solvent SX ink, the machine is able to output in six or seven colours, and boasts smart nozzle mapping and a revamped airflow system.

"After a successful year, particularly for Mutoh printers, we are looking forward to presenting yet more new products to the Sign and Digital audience," explains Jeff Biggs, managing director at Colourgen. "Visitors will be able to see the extensive range of our printing solutions as well as the specific capabilities of the latest machines."

Colourgen will be in hall 2, stand G80 at Sign and Digital 2014.
