In an effort to capture as much interest as possible, HP will demonstrate a range of solutions for folding carton, flexible packaging, labels and corrugated packaging applications, as well as showcasing the benefits of digital printing for packaging converters.
Stephen Nigro, senior vice president, inkjet and graphics businesses at HP, explains: “Pressures on packaging converters include increased numbers of SKU’s, resulting in more jobs, shorter runs, shorter lead times and faster turnarounds, but with the same high quality requirements.
At interpack 2014, HP will show how digital printing can meet all of these challenges, as well as help converters protect margins and add value through variable data and personalisation”

Amongst the solutions on display will be the new HP Indigo WS6600 digital press, a seven-colour narrow web digital device that HP claims is the most versatile and productive solution currently available in the label market.
Elsewhere, HP will also showcase its 30” wide HP Indigo 20000 web-fed digital press, which HP says has been designed for packaging applications such as labels, sleeves and flexible packaging.
The company will also be demonstrating its 29.5” wide HP Indigo 30000 sheet-fed digital press, which is targeted at the folding carton market.
