Manufacturers and integrators using UV-LED illuminators in pre-press imaging and 3D print may benefit from a new integration of Texas Instruments's Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology by US company Innovations in Optics.

The company's LumiBright 3300B product combines a 'densely packed' UV-LED array with a non-imaging collection optic, centered over the DLP chips and water cooled to enable high-power illumination. Screen and offset plate printers use these systems for pre-press imaging, while they can also be used for the printing of circuit boards using maskless litho.
