Epson and Yamamoto have collaborated in the past on the designer's Fashion in Motion project
Epson has once again partnered with Kansai Yamamoto to produce the Japanese designer's creations, celebrating '90 years of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan' at the Hello Istanbul fashion show, which takes place on October 11th 2014.
Fifteen of Yamamoto's concepts, which combine modern design culture with traditional Japanese elements, have been produced using Epson's SureColor F7100 and SureColor FP-30160 textile printers. The garments were printed on approximately 800sq m of different fabrics, including cotton and silk.
"We are so proud to once again be invited to support a designer of [Kansai] Yamamoto's standing," comments Tomoaki Kuwata, general manager of the commercial printer sales and marketing department at Epson. "We have a full line-up of ink-jet textile solutions, and are confident that our line-up is up to the task of meeting the high-level requirements of a designer with his calibre."
"I am delighted for the opportunity to take on a new challenge with Epson," Yamamoto concludes. "I sincerely appreciate the way they always take a true artisan's approach to answering my needs with such dedication."
