Fremont, California-based large-format printer manufacturer and productivity software developer EFI announces that it has acquired U.K.-based software company Shuttleworth Business Systems LLC for an undisclosed sum.

Shuttleworth is a privately held print software provider headquartered in Kettering, United Kingdom. EFI will be adding it to its productivity software division, in which it provides end-to-end, certified business and production workflow software to the commercial print, publishing and packaging industries. The purchase of Shuttleworth will extend EFI’s leadership position in the U.K., the company says.

Just a few weeks ago EFI, which makes wide-format printers along with software and other printing supplies, announced it was buying Corrugated Technologies Inc. and and rolling that company into its productivity software suite.
