HP Celebrating 25 Years of Inkjet with Sweepstakes
May 17 2016 10:04:18 , 1323

In 1991, HP made pen plotters all but obsolete, giving architects and engineers a new way of designing and printing large-format technical drawings with the introduction of the company’s first inkjet large-format DesignJet printer.

The original monochrome model offered early users easier, faster and more affordable printing, and later color models opened new application opportunities, such as GIS maps.

To date, there have been more than three million DesignJet printers installed worldwide.

To mark the 25th anniversary of this landmark event the company has decided to hold a sweepstakes, called “Me and My DesignJet.”

From now through July 31, DesignJet customers can visit www.hp.com/go/mydesignjet and enter into a random drawing. The first 450 U.S. entrants will receive a $25 gift card to the hp.com store just for entering, and one U.S. winner will receive the HP DesignJet T830 Multifunction Printer grand prize. Also, five additional U.S. winners will each receive an HP DesignJet T120 Printer. Participants must have owned their DesignJet as of May 2 to enter the sweepstakes.
