Rochester, New York-based ID Signsystems, a full-service sign shop that focuses on the health care, corporate, campus and retail markets, is benefitting from its purchase of a new Agfa printer by being able to keep more work in-house, the company’s president says.

Paul Dudley says that in deciding to purchase a new printer, his team reviewed a variety of options before settling on the Anapurna M2540, a high-speed, flatbed, UV-curable inkjet model.

“We felt that the Anapurna was closest to the type of work we do on a regular basis,” Dudley tells Sign & Digital Graphics.

ID Signsystems designs, fabricates and installs interior and exterior sign solutions including modular systems, solar signs, wayfinding systems and communication boards for a regional, national, and international clientele. Substrates it regularly uses include metal, plastic and wood.

“We’re architectural sign makers at heart,” Dudley says.

Founded in 2005, ID Signsystems now has 48 employees and serves a regional, national and international clientele.

Aside from the new Anapurna, some of the other equipment on the shop floor are Universal Lasers, an Accu-Bendletter former, a Matthews Paint system and a Roland cutter system.
