Agricultural Printing & Package Joint Stock Company (APP) installs a brand-new six-color ROLAND 700 with double coating press to grow its market share and improve customer satisfaction.
For more than 40 years, the Agricultural Printing & Package Joint Stock Company has been manufacturing high-quality packages and labels using Offset Printing, Gravure Printing and Flexo Printing.
Initially a state-owned company, the Vietnamese printer was divided in 2004. In 2010, APP became the first packaging company listed in the Hanoi Stock Exchange. The company has been regularly investing in advanced printing technology. In fact, it already owns three ROLAND 700 LV HiPrint and three R 200 presses. Thanks to these presses, APP has experienced continuous growth over the past 10 years, with revenue increasing by 13 fold.
Through the years, APP has maintained a great business relationship with several industrial giants, producing packaging for a variety of products – both for export or domestic consumption. These consumer products include food and beverage, tobacco, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. APP’s loyal customers include the Orion group (Korea), Thang Long, Traphaco, Kinh Do Corporation, Hai Ha, Hai Chau, Huu Nghi, Sabeco, and Halico.
Using advanced techniques, APP offers high-quality products of various types at reasonable prices. But complacency is not a word in their vocabulary. It’s not about resting on past successes.
“In order to stay ahead of the competition, we have to enhance our overall market competitiveness by providing our customers with more advanced printing and coating techniques in a faster way,’’ says Mr Nguyen Thanh Nam, the company’s CEO and Chairman. “We want to further increase our market share and be more profitable.”
To this end, APP recently installed a six-color ROLAND 700, size 3B with double inline coating module, two transfer modules and an extension in the delivery.
“This inline double coating module helps our company to achieve the quality required of high-end packages in much less production time. It reduces production cost and lead time,” Mr Nguyen says
“Moreover, the various print effects produced by the inline double coating module enable us to accept more diversified print jobs. Hence, we could further increase our market share and boost our profits.
“With the six-color ROLAND 700 with double coating press, the skills and expertise of the operators of our existing Manroland Sheetfed machines can be utilized. Our operators can work on the new press immediately. Because of their familiarity with Manroland Sheetfed presses, they don’t need much time to be acquainted with the six-color ROLAND 700 with double coating press.”
With the addition of one more powerful new press, APP’s overall market competitiveness is boosted significantly.
