Following its acquisition by Swiss family business Zünd Systemtechnik AG earlier this year, Zünd Plotting Systems (UK) Ltd. has announced an official name change to Zünd UK Ltd. The new, simpler name reflects a continued progression for the company, it says.

Zu?nd Systemtechnik AG is a manufacturer of digital table cutting equipment and supplies, and what is now Zünd UK Ltd. had been the company’s sole reseller of its products in the United Kingdom. It is now officially a subsidiary of Zu?nd Systemtechnik AG.

Zünd UK Ltd has also announced the additions of some new sales personnel. James Newnham, Paul Whitford and Steve Rowbotham have all been appointed sales account managers, while Thomas Scott is a new sales technician.

At the time of the buyout the new parent company announced that Tim Taylor, founder and commercial director of Zu?nd UK, is staying with the company, and Stuart Cole had been named new managing director to oversee daily operations.

As part of the changes at Zünd UK, the email addresses for sales and support teams have also been altered to salesuk@zund.com and supportuk@zund.com respectively. The phone and fax numbers remain the same.

Zünd UK is also refurbishing its dedicated demo center. Once that is complete the company says it will be adding new machines with the company’s latest technical innovations, and it will be hosting a number of open house events next year.
